Quality Manager
Job description
Duties include:
- Lead and manage our site Quality team ensuring they have the skills, resources, and capability to deliver overall team objectives.
- Ensure all customer, company and legislative specification and quality requirements are in the scope of the QMS.
- Internal auditing of systems.
- Work with the site Technical Manager (TM) to develop and maintain an effective QMS and Food Safety Plan.
- Ensure an effective internal audit operation meets the requirements of the QMS.
- Support the site TM in administering the technical KPIs.
- Carry out customer complaints and other non-conformance investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Support managing regulatory contact involving knowledge of food hygiene and standards legislation.
- Develop enhanced and future fit employee skillset and flexibility.
- Support trainee development to ensure the ‘next generation’ workforce.
REQUIRED:
- Experience in food production as a Quality Manager or Supervisor.
- Ability to promote quality standards and ways of working leading by example.
- Results driven and great attention to detail with good strategic ability.
- Flexible, adaptable, and keen to support others’ development.
- Strong people management and influencing skills.
- Accreditation Food Hygiene and HACCP equivalent at minimum level 3.
- BRC experience (desirable).
- TACCP/VACCP experience (desirable).
- Strong H&S understanding and compliance leadership.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Speaking, writing, and understanding excellent spoken and written
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year may go up
