Project Engineer

We’re seeking a project engineer to handle lift servicing and maintenance while also bringing valuable project management skills to pre- and post-lift installations. As the primary liaison on-site for clients, builders, and engineers, this individual will collaborate closely with the office team.

Your main duties include but not limited to:

  • Perform servicing and maintenance on various lift products, including home lifts, platform lifts, passenger lifts, and goods & service lifts, serving as a senior figure within the company.
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors’ work, offering operational and technical support both on-site and remotely.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients, suppliers, and office staff on a daily basis, particularly within the project management team.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, service calls, and repair work as part of daily responsibilities.

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Arranging meetings and supporting workload for projects.
  • Experience of designing and maintaining databases
  • Lift Industry Experience / Installation Experience
  • General office management knowledge, including experience of setting up and maintaining filing systems.

Essential Skills and requirements:

  • Must have between 3 – 5 year’s experience as a lift engineer or similar.
  • Must be qualified lift engineer, NVQ Level 3 desirable.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to travel between office bases and project sites throughout the UK.
  • Occasional overnight stays will be a requirement for the role.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
