WE ARE HIRING A HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER

Location: Preston
Route: Local
Working Hours: 5 days a week….Mon – Fri, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Contract Type: Temp to Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a full time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting fresh produce from Preston to the local areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for regular, weekday work with a trusted company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle during scheduled shifts.
• Transport fresh produce from Preston to the local surrounding areas.
• Ensure goods are handled and delivered with care to maintain freshness and quality.
• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues.
• Adhere to all driving regulations and legal requirements, including tachograph and driver hours.
• Maintain communication with the transport team and customers for smooth deliveries.
• Accurately complete all relevant delivery documentation.

Requirements:

• A valid HGV Class 2 driving license.
• CPC qualification and a digital tachograph card.
• Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles, particularly with perishable goods, is desirable.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physically fit to assist with manual unloading, as required.
• Knowledge of road safety and driving hour regulations.
