Master Staff are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver looking for early starts, early finishes and guaranteed paid hours.

Pay: £13.94 – £15.62 per hour

You’ll typically work from 5:00am until 1:00pm. One of the key benefits of this role is that even if you complete your work and finish early, you’ll still be paid for your full set shift hours. All scheduled breaks are also fully paid.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you’ll be responsible for completing scheduled deliveries safely and efficiently while providing a professional service to customers.

Your duties will include:

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle
• Completing scheduled deliveries and collections
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Ensuring loads are safe and secure before departure
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork
• Loading and unloading where required
• Following planned routes and delivery schedules
• Providing professional customer service at delivery points
• Complying with drivers’ hours and Working Time regulations
• Reporting any vehicle defects or issues promptly
• Maintaining high standards of road safety at all times

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous HGV driving experience preferred
• Good knowledge of road safety and driver regulations
• A reliable and punctual approach to work
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your delivery schedule

Hours

• 5:00am – 1:00pm
• Early starts with early finishes
• Full set shift hours paid even if you finish early
• All scheduled breaks are fully paid

This means that if your scheduled work is completed ahead of time, you won’t lose out on your full shift pay.
