Master Staff are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Chorley for an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join their busy team.

This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity offering an early finish on Fridays and the chance to secure a permanent position with an established company.

Applicants must hold a valid forklift licence and be comfortable carrying out heavy manual warehouse work alongside forklift duties.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver, you’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including moving stock, loading pallets and ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role involving heavy lifting and manual handling, so candidates should be comfortable working in a physically demanding warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading goods
• Loading and moving palletised stock
• Picking and preparing goods for dispatch
• Moving and organising stock throughout the warehouse
• Carrying out heavy manual handling duties
• Checking goods and stock for accuracy
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
• Supporting the wider warehouse team as required
• Following all company health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• A valid forklift licence
• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous forklift operating experience preferred
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling
• Good attention to detail
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good awareness of workplace health and safety

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

You’ll receive a 30-minute lunch break plus two 10-minute breaks during the working day.
