We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join their maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to secure a full-time role with a company that values quality workmanship, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspections and full diagnostics on HGVs using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a range of vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Fabricate parts or modifications when required using welding, soldering, and hand tools
- Use power tools safely and effectively for assembly, disassembly, and repair work
- Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Safely handle heavy lifting tasks involving vehicle parts and equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety regulations and industry standards
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar heavy vehicle maintenance role
- Strong electrical knowledge, including wiring, schematic interpretation, and soldering techniques
- Solid mechanical understanding of heavy vehicles, including engines, transmissions, braking, and suspension systems
- Skilled in fabrication, welding, assembly, and the use of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to safety and quality
