We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Kendal. As a Welder/Fabricator, you will play a key role in the production and assembly of metal components, structures, and bespoke fabrication projects. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and precision of welds, meeting safety standards, and contributing to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld and fabricate various metal materials including steel, stainless steel, and aluminium using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine work requirements
• Measure and cut metal components to specified dimensions using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
• Assemble and fit fabricated parts and components into final product or structure
• Perform quality control checks to ensure that all products meet the required standards and specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and production goals
• Ensure all welding and fabrication work is completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship and precision

Requirements:

• Previous experience in welding and fabrication or a similar role is essential
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
• Strong knowledge of metal properties and welding materials
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Full driving license (preferred but not essential)
