About Us
Temporary Jobs
TEMPORARY jobs are an ideal opportunity to continue working if you are in-between jobs, only have limited time available or simply like to remain flexible. Assignments could last anywhere between one day to several months depending upon the specific need and can be full-time or part-time hours. The job skills required depend totally on the different industry requirements.
What does it cost...This service is free to job seekers. Clients are charged an hourly rate plus VAT which is fully inclusive of Employers National Insurance Contribution and any accrued Holiday Pay which is invoiced weekly.
To be considered for temporary jobs, candidates must...
- attend their local branch to complete registration forms and have a short informal interview;
- present their current CV (if appropriate)
- present their passport or full birth certificate for identification and to clarify any working restrictions;
- provide referee details to whom we can write to and these returned references must be satisfactory and held on file before work is offered.
Offer of work... Once all the above requirements have been met, candidates are then placed on the “available” register. The time it takes to secure a temporary assignment depends entirely upon the candidate’s availability and job skills.
Work will be offered subject to meeting the minimum criteria of an assignment. This is usually by telephone due to the short timescale's involved. The assignment details are followed up in writing in the form of a confirmation letter. This will be accompanied by any other relevant paperwork i.e. timesheets, tax and bank forms.
Pay... Temporary workers are paid by the hour which is processed weekly on production of an authorised time sheet. The hourly rate, again, depends upon the specific work offered. The only deduction that will be made from the weekly wage will be Tax and Employees National Insurance contributions at the appropriate rate.
